The LG-VIBE is a TENS Stimulator with is used for pain relief. It sends a gentle electrical current to the underlying nerves and muscle group under the skin.
Pain does not begin until a coded message travels to the brain where it is decoded, analyzed, and then reacted to. The pain message travels from the injured area alone the small nerves leading to the spinal cord. Here the message is switched to different nerves that travel up the spinal cord to the brain. It is there that the pain message is interpreted, referred back to the brain, and the pain is felt.
A TENS Unit is a proven method to control this pain. The TENS sends tiny electrical impulses through the skin to nerves that travel up the spinal cord to the brain. The electrodes are disposable. They should be replaced when they loose their adhesive nature. If you are unsure of electrode adhesive properties, you should use a new one. LGMedSupply electrodes use the premium gel in the industry. Not only does that eliminate skin irritation, it allows you to get maximum use before having to change electrode pads. The better the adhesive properties, the longer you can use.
Electrode placement is one of the most important factors in achieving success with therapy. Every patient responds differently to electrical stimulation so needs my vary from the conventional settings. Experiment with electrode positioning. Once you find the best place and treatment settings on the unit, the best thing to do is write it down so you can continue the treatment.
